Grandmaster Aryam Abreu is a highly accomplished chess coach who has nurtured talent at all levels. Since 2002, he has shared his passion and expertise with children just learning the game, as well as seasoned competitors.
When he was the official trainer for the Cuban national team, Aryam guided it on prestigious international events, including two Chess Olympiads and a FIDE World Cup. His mentoring has propelled students like Grandmaster Lenier Dominguez to the elite ranks, with a top rating 2745.
Beyond the competitive arena, Aryam finds great fulfillment in using chess to enrich young minds. As a father of two girls, he understands the joy of watching curious beginners blossom into thoughtful players. For Aryam, the real rewards come from sparking new curiosity and strategic thinking that will serve students well on and off the board.
